Chawna Griffith-Myers

Chawna Griffith-Myers is YCRC's Executive Director and York County’s Criminal Justice Advisory Board (CJAB) Planner, leading with a steadfast commitment to building a more inclusive and second-chance-friendly York County. Known for her collaborative approach, she brings together diverse partners to design and strengthen innovative programs that support individuals transitioning from incarceration back into the community. Her work as a gun violence advocate further underscores her dedication to social justice, prevention, and community safety.

In September 2025, Chawna was appointed to the Pennsylvania Office of Gun Violence Prevention’s Executive Committee, where she contributes to statewide strategy, policy alignment, and community-driven efforts to reduce violence.
​
Beyond her professional achievements, Chawna enjoys hiking, collecting diverse Barbie dolls that celebrate representation, visiting history museums, and traveling—interests that reflect her appreciation for culture, identity, and the power of storytelling.

With a distinctive blend of leadership, advocacy, and community engagement, Chawna Griffith-Myers champions meaningful change and advances equitable pathways for individuals and families across York County and beyond.
Reentry Specialist
Jasmine Smith​

Jasmine Smith serves as our dedicated Reentry Specialist, bringing years of experience from her work within York County government, most recently in the Court’s Self-Help Center. With a deep passion for serving others, Jasmine is currently pursuing her Criminal Justice degree and is committed to growing as a reentry professional.
​
Jasmine is driven by a desire to help individuals remove perceived and practical barriers as they transition back into the community. She is a strong advocate for ensuring people have access to meaningful mental health supports, substance use resources, and community connections—all essential components of successful reentry.
​
At the ROC, Jasmine supports daily operations and also serves as the YCRC Advisory Board Secretary, helping strengthen visibility, community awareness, and engagement with our mission. Her enthusiasm, compassion, and commitment make her an invaluable part of the team.
Diversion & Reentry Administrator
Amy Evans

Amy Evans is our dedicated Diversion and Reentry Administrator with extensive expertise in cross-systems programs. With a solid background in criminal justice and community planning, she excels at coordinating efforts across health, justice, and human service agencies. Amy’s innovative approach and strategic planning have significantly contributed to improving systems that support individuals in their reentry journey.
Beyond her professional achievements, Amy embraces a rich personal life filled with curiosity and passion. She loves to travel, explore new cultures, and experience the beauty of nature. A devoted bird watcher, antique collector, and horticulture enthusiast, she finds joy and inspiration in nurturing both plants and her community.
With a commitment to fostering positive change, Amy continues to make a meaningful impact in her field while pursuing her interests that enrich her world.

The York County Reentry Coalition is guided by an Advisory Board with representatives from government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community members who have firsthand experience with the justice system.

Our subsequent subcommittees recognize community trends and act as liaisons to further YCRC's initiatives and goals. As we conclude 2024 and look ahead to 2025, we are broadening our network of partners and restructuring our committee framework to align with the evolving landscape of reentry.
If you would like to join a YCRC sub-committee, please submit a letter of interest to YorkReentry@gmail.com. Your letter should outline any personal or professional experience related to reentry, as well as the specific sub-committee or topic you are interested in.
Members of the sub-committees are required to attend YCRC's quarterly coalition meetings, stay updated on community challenges and opportunities impacting reentrants, and actively participate in all YCRC events and fundraising initiatives.

Meet our Nominees:

Brianne Lindstrom, Affordable Housing Advocates
Brianne Lindstrom brings several years of experience working in and with the York City community, including direct advocacy for equitable and affordable housing. She has a professional background in marketing, communications, and community engagement, which she has used to support housing-focused organizations and initiatives. Her combination of housing-sector experience and strategic skill sets positions her to contribute thoughtfully to the board’s housing priorities.

Yolanda Hunter, Recovery House of Worship
Yolanda Hunter is a York-based community leader with lived experience in recovery and reentry, and she currently serves through the Recovery House of Worship, supporting individuals working toward stability. Her work focuses on helping people overcome addiction, rebuild their lives, and secure safe, supportive environments. She brings a grounded, community-centered perspective on housing needs and barriers faced by returning citizens and vulnerable populations.

If your organization is a member of the York County Reentry Coalition and you would like to self-nominate or nominate a professional, please reach out to yorkreentry@gmail.com. Include the name of the nominated individual, a short bio, and a statement of why this individual would be an asset to the YCRC advisory board, including any relevant experience with reentering populations.
Qualifying nominations will be presented to the full membership for voting. Please note to vote, an organization must have a membership agreement on file, as outlined in the YCRC bylaws.

Advisory Board Nominees Should:

Be familiar with the Coalition's mission, goals, bylaws, and structure.

Work with and lead relevant YCRC committees on relevant tasks.

Currently working in the field that they will be representing.

Commit to attending full coalition (4 per year) and Advisory Board meetings (monthly). The times and locations of full coalition meetings vary; however, the board meets quarterly on a 3rd Tuesday at 1:30 (excluding full Coalition meetings).

Be available and responsive to communications and meeting requests outside of regular meetings.
